View Full Version : RV disguised as a gorgeous small home

It's $79,000 which is not cheap for an RV but a great price for a small, well-designed, portable home.

I love this! Wish it was a tad less expensive, but I love this anyway......Maybe this is a solution to overpriced housing and avoiding housing debt to some degree? Rob

That's just beautiful! I paid $89,500 for my tiny home. But, it came with a nice plot of land. I think this type of living is going to become a trend. They're really getting creative with these small places. I love the concept that you can live well and not have to commit to an enormous mortgage.

The other way to get past the high cost of housing if you are handy is to buy an extreme fixer & do all the work yourself. We did this 2 years ago & now the home is worth twice what we paid & spent on remodeling. This of course only works if you can do the work yourself.
If you are in a warmer area year-round, then I love the idea of a house-boat. Maybe you can even move it from season to season. The key of course is good docking bays, and your enjoyment of small spaces.

I agree--especially since DH wants a boat and I won't let him buy one until all debt is paid off and we have a decent amount of money in the bank. Which means, that if he wants a boat soon, he has to agree to selling our house and paying off debt, and living ON a boat.
We'll see how that goes.

I've seen what are called "park model RVs" with same concept, but this one is very nicely done, indeed!

haha!! I knew it looked familiar! Well, I still like it.

He loved it but there were also many pitfalls as well. I think he had about 250sf inside plus a large outside deck area. I lived on a smallish sailboat with (now ex) DH for awhile and it was great but much smaller than a houseboat or motorboat of the same length due to the configuration.
Cute RV. Looks like a small cabin. I'm seeing more and more ads for places like this to buy or rent now. Some of them are just the land with hookups that you can bring your own RV to, some that already have the RV onsite. Looks like a much nicer way to live in an RV than in an RV Park where there are many RV's all together. I'm not an RV person myself but this one sure is cute!
