I'm really, really interested in either runnning a marathon or doing a Century Ride (100 mile bike ride) for Team in Training (TNT). I read this inspirational article (http://www.guideposts.org/personal-growth/success-biology-teacher-completes-hundred-mile-bike-ride-charity)awhile ago and haven't forgotten the woman's story.
I believe that TNT provides one with all the coaching, pays your entry fees and may provide help with transportation, if you're able to raise $4000 for the Lukemia and Cancer Society.
Anyone here ever participated or know someone who has? What's the experience like? And on a practical note--if I were to do the Century Ride, how expensive of a bike would I need?
