I am exploring Unitarianism. Next Sunday I am going to the Adult Discussion Group and then the church service. We shall see what develops. Any Unitarians around here?

I really had to laugh at the discussion from 2011 that highlighted preachiness of UU's in the social/political venue.
I wish everyone well on their spiritual journey, it's such an individual thing, very mysterious and complex as we humans are. It can be interesting to see what individuals embrace, and why, and the turns they take throughout their lives. Spirituality is seldom one track throughout life.
I am less tolerant of pious preaching to others, regardless of the subject. But I am more tolerant of Christian preaching than I am of political/social stuff, oddly. I'm the only person on my block who will open the door to Jehovah's Witnesses. When the Salvation Army set up an outdoor church service across the street from me many years ago, I was the only one within a 3 block radius who thought it was ok, the neighbors were all riled up about it.
