Cesar Chavez Day? anywhere else besides Denver

So yeah the city stuff is closed down. No school, no mail, no trash pickup, etc. Apparently not everyone does this holiday much less knows about it. I just had a staff member who showed up at work and couldn't get into the building so it is really not obvious. Heck I am enjoying a full day off but it is different.

Yes, California. But I think only state workers get it off.

We get Casimir Pulaski Day in Illinois! Same thing - not everyone knows it's a day off.

There's a Fort Pulaski in Georgia...I don't think they get the day off. We have Repudiation Day in Maryland, but it is no longer a day off.

Alabama state workers get Confederate Memorial Day off. I think it is ridiculous.

Well now they can come up with more holidays to cover for the furlough days, but then they wouldn't pay of course
