i went to Vesak up in the mountains today with my nun and another nun from Sri Lanka. the other nun ordained after having her family so she had her son and daughter and law that she lives with hosting it. i ate some really good food, got to know some new people, went on a hike, and had some meditation. i had never done the meditation on the 32 body parts and it was not depressing like i thought it might be. it sounds like we will try to do more cooperative things, my nun looked so happy to be with another nun. She lived in a monastery in england for 20 years and left to be a solo monastic when the issue of full ordination of women became an immovable issue.
