Wow! Good news, the doctor says the patient despite being hospitalized with terminal illness.....still has a pulse. Unfortunately, we can't yet remove the feeding tube. Check out Janet Yellens response to the newest jobs report. Seems someone ought to send this little ditty from the Columbus fantasy Dispatch to The Fed. We are not yet through with propping up the economy with easy money. The fabricated stats are a necessity to assist Clinton in her bid for historic relevance based on her gender not on her fitness to serve. 2008 .....anybody still remember 2008? The economy does.

Yea... the Republicans were in office.

Tried to find article that was in today's paper to attach but cannot find it.... told it will be available on line tomorrow.

Here are the last few paragraphs...

In a question-and-answer session that followed her speech, Yellen was asked about fears that the global economy could be headed for a crash if Donald Trump were to win the White House.

"We are very focused on doing our jobs. We will just see what happens," Yellen said.

Talk about scary..........

Yea... the Republicans were in office........
There are always Republicans in office, although they didn't have much influence in 2007 and 2008. The Senate consisted of 49 Republicans, 49 Democrats and 2 Independents, one of them being Bernie. We could probably call that a wash.
In the House, there were 233 Democrats, 198 Republicans and 4 vacant seats. Overall the Democrats had a nice advantage over their opposition.

Now that we've established those facts, what were you implying?

I wish we could get beyond the sort of shamanistic belief that politicians are responsible for every short term twist and turn in the economy. Especially presidents. Brilliant policy can result in lousy results if the conditions are bad, and idiots can look like maestros if they luck into a good situation.

Read Williamsmith's post above to figure it out.
