I just got off my cell phone awhile ago - a neighbor called me with the news that on yahoo.com, there is a news article to the effect that some bookmaker site called Ladbrokes says there is a 58% chance that Trump will resign or be impeached before 2020. I sure hope so but what a nice bit of news to hear as I start my day.....Rob

The same organization was offering 85% odds that Clinton would win last October.

In fairness, they probably weren't factoring in Russian operatives.
I understand they're working on hacking into nuclear power plants now.

I would have to study the issues to decide if Pence would be any big improvement. If anything Trump has distracted from some of the conservative agenda, and he's already rolled back about as much of Obama's executive orders as legally possible. I guess there is that three o'clock in the morning phone call where the president learns about some emergency incident of major national of international security, where Trump is pretty much a loose canon.

Sure they were. It was hardly a secret at the time. They just bought into the same "Hillary is as inevitable as death" meme that the chattering classes were pushing.

In fairness to the ancient and honorable bookie profession, it's much harder to handicap elections than horse races or football games.

they weren't factoring in Russian operatives or the Hillary supporters would have tried to win honestly (they might still have) rather than rig the election to the degree they did against Sanders. Although everybody kind of knew it, they didn't really expect that to see full sunlight.

Also for two crooked Arizona governors - Evan Mecham in the late 1980's and Fife Symington in the 1990's. We can agitate for Trump's removal in this relatively classy kind of way and hope for the best, no? Rob

No.

In the reality the rest of us inhabit, Nixon was not impeached.
