We have this amazing group in our town,. It has an evening event every now and then that focuses on us as commoners and what we share.
Last night I went and we had raffles and lots of good snacks. Then we divided into tables marked Social Justice, Arts and Culture, Food Security and a few more I can;t remember. we yakked.
Than a couple sang a song called I love this town. Then each of the groups had to write their own verse.
There were awards given for the year; the most Uncommon Commoner, The most Uncommon Business etc.
It really celebrated who we are as a group, a town, and was a lot of fun.
Isn't this a great way to build community.
