So rhubarb is a vegetable, though it is used like a fruit. Does anyone cook it in a savory recipe?

Our rhubarb is going to be ready any day now, despite the fact that winter seems to be lingering on here in MN, and since we're on this elimination diet for a while yet, and it will be a while longer before sugar is introduced, I'd like to find some other way to use the rhubarb. I'll probably cook some of it with some dried dates or prunes as sweetener, but we have a LOT of rhubarb on the way (and nothing else anytime soon from the garden, given the weather!)

How about chutney? Great with indian food.

Good with cooked apples.

Maybe you could curry it??? Perhaps modifying some celery curry recipes.

I found a couple of recipes online - one for a lentil-rhubarb dish, and one for a lamb stew with rhubarb. Will try making them both in small quantities, as I'm not sure DD and DH will like them.
