Has anyone been to this event in Providence? How was your experience?

I have not, but I've always thought it was something I would like to see. I think Providence would be a cool place to spend a weekend - stay at the Hotel Providence, see WaterFire, Lovecraft's grave, RISD Museum, and I understand they have some really good restaurants.

It was an interesting experience, likely won't do it again unless going with other people. Not because its anything bad, but its really just a fire on the river. The beginning of it was rather mystical and mysterious. It makes for a really pretty evening seeing the fires, and smelling the smoke while you walk along the river.
