So--what do ya'll think? I don't have HBO. But this is getting LOTS of buzz. Who here is a fan of the books?

I'm thinking this needs to go on my dvd Netflix list for 2012

My wife loves it. I've seen part of an episode and enjoyed it.

DH is a big fan of the books so insisted I read them. The books were ok, but not my cup of tea. I'm enjoying the TV series much more than the books. We both remember just enough to figure out who's who easily and what's happening next. If I hadn't read the books I don't think I'd have liked the show so much, as there's so much back story and it would be really hard to follow who the characters are.
