2/5/21 will likely be his final show on the Fox network.

Since the November election defeat of Donald Trump, the ratings have gotten much worse for Lou Dobbs, a staunch Trump loyalist.

I only rarely watched his shows, but clearly Dobbs was a provocateur.

I believe Lou Dobbs would remember the original Edith Piaf:
Non, rien de rien
Non, je ne regrette rien...

Fox is really running scared over this multi-billion dollar lawsuit. Normally news outlets (Fox sorta qualifies) can get away with saying just about anything about anybody provided they are public figures. But this voting machine company may persuasively argue it's not a public figure and has clearly incurred significant financial damage from Fox talking heads' eager participation in spreading obvious falsehoods.

Knowingly lying about a business is often viewed less charitably by courts than attacking an individual public figure. I work for an IT research firm, and we are hyper-careful in our published research not to say things about other businesses that might get us sued. (Sometimes even truth is not a defense.)

Dobbs, Bartiromo, et al. seem to have thought that their status as "journalists" insulated them from liability. They might find out otherwise. And of course some others, like Guiliani, don't even have that protection.

Organizations and private citizens libeled by QAnon, Trump, and others of that ilk should sue the pants off them--repeatedly, if necessary.

Wild, unsubstantiated tales of named celebrities torturing and eating children, for example, have no place in this world, and that needs to be made abundantly clear.

Paying for the lies. Costs will by high. High as hell I hope! Evidence matters and there is none as proved by 60 failed lawsuits rejected by many Trump appointed judges!

I was mistaken to think that Lou Dobbs would have one more show on FOX. His last show was apparently 2/4/21, but I missed it.
