Hi all
When we had Plumpocalypse about a month ago the company that put in the new trap in the bathroom left us with this:

The black pipe, I mistakenly thought was the pipe pipe but it is NOT. It is a collar of some kind. I only realized this after the guys at one hardware store (twice) and then Menards INSISTED that it was going to be a certain size and me walking away from all three visits with the wrong size plate thing. Well, now I see why. I was telling them the wrong thing.
Long story short, I now need to imagine a fix where I can cover the ripped wall behind the sink in a somewhat neat fashion. Any ideas? I can paint anything, but am scratching my head about what I can use to improvise this and have it actually look any good.
We will also have to paint the black pipe.
I was trying to buy a split plate like this but none are made in the correct size as far as I can tell.

Thanks all!! Any and all ideas welcome!!
:thankyou:
