View Full Version : Sources for HuaJiao seeds or plants
Do you know of any sources for disease free seeds or plants of HuaJiao/Flower Pepper?

No, but you might want to seek out some of the chile seed sellers that haunt some of the chile-head sites or the ring-of-fire. Some of those folks are always trying to find and grow unusual seeds.
Although since it's not acutally a true pepper, much less a chile, that might not be a good place to look. >8)
Check the resource section in Fuschia Dunlop's book Land of Plenty, or on her website -- if you post a comment some of the Sichuan food fans might have suggestions.
I wonder if any of the botanical gardens in the US might have plants that you could get seeds or cuttings from -- Sichuan was a major destination for some of the early American plant seekers, and they just might have brought back specimins. Asking around at asian markets might also turn up some links.
