This is a neat site to see how vulnerable one might be to bribery from officials for basic services in different countries.

The Christian Science Monitor has a neat http://www.csmonitor.com/World/Making-a-difference/Change-Agent/2011/0623/I-Paid-a-Bribe-may-be-a-model-for-anti-corruption article about a couple of individuals who are using the web to expose the problems and it is being duplicated elsewhere successfully.
