I like The Good Life with Scott and Helen Nearing and I want to look at more sites like that.
I doubt I would ever lead such an austere life, but I like to learn from it.

The way these folks prepare food is fascinating and something I would like to do more.

Any other good sites friends?

I'll second The Stone Soup site. Excellent, easy and there's even videos to watch. The last thing I made from that site were the Chocolate Chip Cookies with a light topping of Salt, gave as a gift and they were loved by all.

Sorry, there's no website for this book, but Bernadine Lawrence's "How to Feed Your Family On Five Pounds a Day" ("pounds" as in British Sterling Pounds) is terrific and features very simple instructions for a wide variety of wholesome but inexpensive dishes. It is out of print but you can probably get it on Amazon if you search for awhile...people love this book and hold onto them!
