using scapes in a bouquet

I had too many garlic scapes so put some in a pitcher with water in a bouquet.
They are amazing because they continue to swell at the flower end and then burst half out of the pod case. They look like aliens. I think this is marvellous.

Anyone done this?

I've seen some pictures and they look very interesting. I'm thinking about planting some garlic for next year.

Oh! I have two dozen of them right now and was just going to eat them, but now I'll save a few for a bouquet. How wonderful!
