Good reminder! Now is the time to send out these emails and notes requesting people to limit/end gift exchanges. I wrote a template letter a few years back. I'll have to see if I can find it and re-post.

I am always on board for discussions about opting out of gift exchanges. And I agree that now is a good time. So far removed from the mayhem of gift buying season, people are less like to react to your request/suggestion with strong emotion.
