drying pears

OK well I've started drying pears and they seem to be real successful in the dehydrator. So, now what do I do with them?:help:

Rehydrate and make a pear tart? Chop up and use in a trail mix? Serve with cheese? Chop up and use in a quick bread? Add to a sauteed pork or chicken dish at the end when you add liquid and scrape up the browned bits to make a sauce? Add to a winter squash soup?

I would chop and put in muffins with hazelnuts. And everything else herbgeek suggested (mmmmmm)

Those sound good. I like the idea of putting them in a winter soup and pork gravy. And I'll bet they would be good chopped up in muffins. Do you think I need to rehydrate them before putting them in the muffins?

Nope, they will work just fine if you don't rehydrate them.
