View Full Version : Streaming Radio Favorite Stations
I don't know if many others stream radio. I have an FM transmiter that sends sound from my computer to my home stereo, which opened a whole new world of music to me. Our local radio stations are marginal and I greatly enjoy being able to stream radio from all over.
My favorite stations are Moab Community Radio (KZMU), KVNR Community radio out of Paonia, Colorado. There is a wonderful classic jazz program on week night evenings on Vermont Public radio and during the mornings I sometimes tune into Wisonsin Public Radio for their interviews and news.

My brother lives in Paonia - small world.
I like out local university station - kut.org
di.fm and the vocal trance channel!!
181.FM Golden Oldies
found it on itunes, rarely a commercial or talk. Yes!
The Current (http://minnesota.publicradio.org/radio/services/the_current/) is one of my favourites and for the kids, it's kids station Wonderground Radio. (http://minnesota.publicradio.org/radio/services/wonderground/)
I like that Wonderground Radio is kid friendly and they love it, but it doesn't irritate me. A lot of kid's music gets on my nerves.

My husband and I both love Indie 103.1. It used to be a "brick & mortar" radio station in LA, but now it's streaming only. It plays a great selection of music (if you like indie rock and alternative, that is), but it has too many commercials for me to listen to at work. I can only listen with headphones at work, and for some reason I can't tune out the ads that way. So, at work, I stream Pandora; at home it's 103.1.

I stream BBC Radio Two. Especially Richard Allinson who is on in the middle of the night there, buy here it's about 7:00 in the evening.
kcsm.org Commercial free jazz out of San Francisco area. Love it!
Oooh. I like that vocal trance channel--thanks!
Marianne thanks for the 181.FM Good Time Oldies. It plays the music I love from the 60s even some Beach Boys.
