As we all well know, part of what caused The Great Recession was a huge number of foreclosures and a sharp drop in home prices. We can now thank Fanny Mae for its very specific and deadly contribution to the current economic crisis:

Not only did they contribute but the report clearly shows that FHFA (Federal Housing Finance Agency) was either unable because of lack of regulatory knowledge or simply unwilling to do their job. Either way there should be people fired at the FHFA and those law firms that participated should be fined within an inch of bankruptcy for their part in this fraud.
