Et voila! A bit repetative but interesting. Could be a good idea for those of you building tiny cabins and homes.

Geesh. Another country that doesn't rinse off the soap when washing dishes.

it's definitely a lovely space. I like it a lot.

the bed area is a bit cramped for me, but i could probably get used to it.

i think the guy needs a declutter, though. :D he has a lot of stuff for one fella.

That's awesome- I liked how the place could be closed off from the world, or not, as your mood dictates. I'd get a little claustrophic in the bathroom though. Still, I liked the clean lined style of the place.

Cool! I love seeing spaces like this that once were basically just useless space transformed into living space.

Thanks for sharing this small home. It's always so interesting to see how people visualize use of a space, coming up with ideas I would never think of. My favorite parts were really the mailbox and the floor. The concept of the big piece of furniture with multi-uses was interesting but I didn't care for the fact the gentleman kept some of his clothes in the closets and some upstairs in the loft, that didn't seem practical to me.

i think he had too much clothing, to be honest. LOL all of my clothing could fit upstairs in the loft.

looking at it, it's definitely large enough for our family of 3. DS could sleep on the sofa, and DH and I upstairs. And, it would create "privacy" that way.

our place is designed the same way -- in that DS will sleep on the "couch" (day bed) in the lounge, and we're on the bed in the 'bedroom' which is opened up to the lounge. :)

i think we don't need as much space as we need.

I loved the place and could live there as a single person...don't know how it would also fit DH 2 cats and a small dog though.

I fast forwarded it a bit when I got tired of him opening and closing that big door, but loved the open feeling with the patio space. Bathroom too cramped and no natural light in there. As I keep designing a small space and have to consider my crappy knees and DH's bad back the loft idea just doesn't sound good for us. Whatever I end up with I'll probably have to build a 2nd the same size just for DH's music room!

Incredible! I watched a good portion of it the other day, but it was loading so slowly I gave up on it. Love the concession stand style doors!!!

I could definitely live there alone, but living with SO I need my own "office" space. He uses the living room to watch lots of tv so I have to be able to get away from that. I agree that the guy has a lot of stuff. I don't mind so much all the stuff in the downstairs cabinets since he's got enough space for everything, but all the magazines and junk piled on the walls surrounding the bedroom would make me crazy. I'd have to have a 'real' storage space for all that stuff or get rid of it.

The only other change I think I'd make is a removable roof of some sort for the patio. It'd be nice to still be able to sit out there if it was rainy but not cold. Or sunny and I wanted shade. It would just make the patio much more useful and a good expansion of livable space. Otherwise I really really loved the whole place.
