It's that time of year again, seed catalogs have been arriving. I actually already received my order from Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds. Wow, these are so attractive to look at as so many of the packets now sport the black background with the produce photograph, almost like little works of art.

I like Territorial Seeds as well and usually order a few things from Native Seeds/Search (a Tucson based group).

I start my tomato seeds January 1st so I'm feeling all gung ho. Has anyone else been salivating over a favorite catalog lately?

Baker Creek isn't all that far from me. I'm hoping to get over there in the early spring for one of their festival weekends this year.
I haven't seen a seed catalog yet in my box and I'm itching for one.

The Baker Creek catalog is true "garden porn" with its full color, glossy paper, high-quality images of beautiful rare vegetables. A favorite of mine too. http://rareseeds.com/ for those who have never seen it.

We like Fedco seeds. Catalog looks a lot like the trader Joe catalog!

I thought seed catalogs came in January but this year they began arriving right after Thanksgiving. I made my annual vow of 'nothing new' next year so I should have recycled the catalogs as they arrived but I put them in a safe place until my vow begins to wain in the January cold, dark and snow.

I like Johnny's seed catalog for all the helpful information- for each type of vegetable they have a chart of germination rates with temperature for example. For herbs, I like Richter's- as they have pretty much everything you can imagine, and many I've not even heard of.

I'm so jealous now Float On, the advertisements for the Baker Creek Festivals look so amazing! Be sure to let us know your experience this spring.
