View Full Version : Swap-o-matic
For some reason this put a smile on my face today:

I instantly thought of at least a dozen things I would be happy to donate. In fact, my second thought was, "This thing needs to be a LOT bigger."
Fun idea.
That's awesome

Not as s****y, but works great!
Edit to add -- that's supposed to be S-W-A-N-K-Y... funny that it would auto correct as if a cuss word!
I've actually contributed to the Free Box in the past - it's pretty neat too!
p.s. mtnlaurel, I've been sitting here scratching my head for five minutes over what word could've triggered the profanity filter. An interesting word game :)

I think the problem was probably W A N K (don't get me started on computer anti-obscenity programs.....the one in the public library in an AZ where we stayed wouldn't let you access anything on breast cancer (in case this one is the same..... b r e a s t cancer)
the computer programs are fond of looking for "hidden" bad words.....(to them), which is why it's hard to talk about pilots occupying the ****pit of an airplane, and similar absurdities.......

My yoga teacher keeps a table where you can bring items you want to swap, give or donate. I've given books and comforters, have received scarves and tonight, a nice flax blouse in a pretty coral color. It's a nifty concept and one we're all enjoying.
