I'm just back from my retreat and it was wonderful.
The cottage was adorable and farm beautiful....there was even a spring down the hill (I always need water).
I'm encouraged to do it again sometime and may even try to lead a few 2-3 women retreat weekends. We just don't slow down and listen to the quiet enough.

I was at the cottage by noon on Saturday and spent a lot of time walking, praying, meditating, soakin' in the clawfoot tub (not as hard water as we have so no hives which makes taking a bath at home impossible and not fun), showering in the double shower (water pressure was wonderful - something we lack), napping, watching sunsets and sunrises, sitting by the spring, visiting the horses and cows, napping, sitting, knitting, etc.

Didn't want to come home today that's for sure.
It was a wonderful birthday present to myself.

Sounds wonderful. Glad to see the bad weather headed your way didn't put a damper on your B-Day weekend.

Sounds wonderful. How did you find this retreat?

I was looking for a cabin on the Buffalo River and after looking for a couple weeks finally one listing popped up that I hadn't looked at before and it was for this cottage. Beautiful place, lovely owners, and the retreat was my own making.
