Hi, SLers, I'm rejoining the forum (albeit under a new name) after a break that started with the move from the original Simple Living site.

My journey toward VS has been a slow but steady one. I started seriously shedding possessions in the mid 1990s during a series of moves around the country. I'm currently trying to pare down my already streamlined life even further, and I'm hoping to get some feedback and advice from the folks here.

Looking forward to once again experiencing the lively discussions I remember from this group.

Welcome back! The slow and steady changes I've made in my lifestyle and ways of thinking has to the most permanent, and ultimately the most satisfying/gratifying ways of living simply for me. The "crash diet" approach didn't seem to work when I was making these changes...it felt too much like deprivation or punishment. And I agree, three moves is as good as a fire!
