My neighbor has a tiny front yard planting of flowers, and there are two kinds of poppies in there. Some of them are bloomed out. I love poppies.

My front yard has been vibrant with them for two months. My Majilda Poppies are about to bloom. These are also known as Fried Egg Poppies as the huge flowers the size of a dinner plate look like a fried egg sunny side up.

I took my front yard down to the dirt, ripped out all irrigation and planted with all California Natives. My yard is the most colorful in the neighborhood. No grass for me.
