That won't load for me, although I can get the ABC News website with no problem.

Hi Jemima, you can do a search on google for:
The first genetically engineered babies born. You will see plenty of articles on this. For some reason ABC after announcing it this morning, is not displaying it on their website...

I'm pretty sure that I read about it 2-3 days ago. I thought it was interesting because healthy mitochondria from some women's eggs are being injected into the infertile woman's eggs, then blended with dad's sperm, and then they have three genetic strains: mom, dad, and other lady's mitochondria.

Fascinating procedure.

I guess I'm just a little skeptical of the article that I read. Seems more like propoganda than fact. I could be wrong...

It looks like a helpful therapy to me. Of course, there maybe a downside yet to be seen.

Did a search on snopes and didn't see anything but duped see that this article is from 2006 and when I googled it there are more articles but they are older too. Looks like this is old news...

The article I cited puts implementation out about five years.

The link isn't working for me. Going to do a search when I get a few minutes. Sounds interesting.
