Recovering the favorites and blog feed panes

On the left side of the google page in a separate pane, I used to be able to toggle back and forth between a listing of favorite websites and a listing of blog posts that were updated via RSS type feeds.

Recently I clicked on something on the screen and this pane vanished. I can't figure out how to find it, open it back up, and stick it to the left side of the page again. Haven't been able to discover how to do it in help or to use the right set of key words in google to turn up the instructions. Would welcome suggestions.

Which browser do you use and what version?
If it is Internet Explorer, ver 9. click on the star in the upper right hand corner, then hover your mouse over the left facing arrow in the upper left corner. Hovering over it will reveal the message "Pin the Favorites Center". If this is what you want, click it and your favorites, rss feeds and history will be displayed in the left column of your screen.
