I've been away for a while, but thinking about SL a lot lately. It was around the year 2000, during Christmastime, when I first discovered the awesome community that exists in these forums. As I was having a meltdown over the massive consumerism affecting my relatives, SL came through by showing me that there could be another way to deal with the holidays and stand up for the simple living values I believe in. Thank you for saving my sanity!
It's good to be back. I plan on sticking around a while.
Lovely to see you back! Are you still travelling taking your home with you or am I mistaken?

Aww thanks for the welcome! We are indeed still roaming in our doghouse on wheels, loving it too much to quit anytime in the forseeable future.
One of the reasons I disappeared recently was because we took a job working at a Colorado dude ranch from May to October and were working some 60 hours a week at that gig, all while trying to maintain our regular business projects. With one day off a week from the ranch, I almost had a meltdown but just kept reminding myself it would be worth it in order to keep on living our lifestyle. Now we are slowing down for winter, traveling around the west.
Happy Solstice and may your holidays be merry and bright everyone!

Welcome back! :) So good to see you here again!
I remember sadly that your Jerry passed, but do you have a new dog now?

Thanks for the greetings!
Wildflower, yes, we have a new furkid, Wyatt Ray. He's a Tripawd because of his previous owner's abuse, but he's loving life now. He's lived on the road with us since he was 9 months old. Here he is at the dude ranch where we worked:

Paw shucks, thanks. He's a good boy. Definitely got a long way to go, but he's only 3 so I know he's still a toddler in dog years.
Yeah, aren't those mountains great? We sure love being in that part of Colorado.
Welcome back HumboldtGurl! You lead such an interesting life! I'm so glad you took in that beautiful doggie!
