View Full Version : What's the best glue for repairing ceramics?

Anyone know what the best adhesive is for fixing a broken ceramic object? Its just the leg off a ceramic teddy bear that my DD made when she was young. There won't be any weight on it. Just seems like Elmer's might not be the best choice.
Thanks.

I believe there is a glue specifically for ceramics. I'd try Michaels or Hobby Lobby. Good luck.

I don't know if it's best or not, but I'd try Elmer's Craft Bond Ceramic & Glass Cement. I think it's available at WalMart and virtually all craft stores.

You might try E6000.

I usually use an epoxy for that, such as JB Quick Weld.

Very strong stuff. I'd use either that or a straight silicon adhesive. The silicone is clear and less smelly than the E6000 (which if I recall is also carcinogenic - read the label first.)
