dad was 52 when the eldest (me) was born (so I wouldn't be creeped). I also know a male of course, relative that had their first kid at 58 about 14 years ago. The response I usually get is how can one have the energy to raise little kids at that age? I don't know! I do also know it was a large generation gap (growing up in 80s and entering the world in 90s America was a different world than "growing up in the Great Depression and WWII" - a standard of lifestyle I was often expected to meet and couldn't - but that's often the case with much smaller generation gaps than that).
