Different countries enjoying each other

We are staying at a small motel in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Interestingly, we are the only Americans in residence. It is a clean, pretty, in a great location... efficiency with a pool. So far we have had conversations with people from France, Canada, Uraguay and Germany. Tonight we spent portion of the evening drinking with these folks and having a great time. Talk about community! I don't know why but we often are the only Americans when we travel. This, however, has been a first in our own country!
