I'm hooked. Anyone else watching this? The premise is, Ricky Jervais takes this friend of his who seems clueless about almost everything and sends him around the globe to wonderful places, puts him in culturally specific situations and films his reactions. There is always some wonder of the world at the heart of it, like the Taj Mahal or the Pyramids of Giza, as a part of the deal. Not only is it hilarious from my point of view, but also educates about the various cultures.

If you have seen it, I would be interested in your take on Carl. I can't decide if he is truly that dumb, or is really good comedian who is great at improv.

Anyway, I highly recommend it. It plays on the Science Channel.

I'll keep an eye out for this when I 've got access to cable. It sounds good. Dh might like that one, he really likes The Amazing Race.

He's worked with both Gervaise and Stephen Merchant in the past. He's not dumb!
I haven't watched this series.

I find the show to be very funny. Karl has a unique perspective that is entertaining. I don't like how Ricky bullies him, but as Karl says he is a grown man and because of this show and podcasts, Karl doesn't have to work a "real" job anymore. (I'd put up with some teasing to be freed from a boring job.) Ricky and Steve met Karl when they did a radio show years ago and he was the engineer. I find the FREE podcast recordings of their radio show to be funny too. (http://www.therickygervaisshow.com/xfmvault/season.php?id=1) The podcasts they made later were so popular that they were put on HBO. http://www.amazon.com/Ricky-Gervais-Show-Complete-Season/dp/B0049AF6UG/ref=sr_1_1?s=dvd&ie=UTF8&qid=1300053332&sr=1-1
