catherine, there is a little Easter Egg for you
    Vermonters early on.
OMG.. .that as unbelievable deja vu!!! So funny!!! The more things change, the more they stay the same. And, yes, thank you for the nod to Vermont. Always projected early. Always blue. Always good for a big 3 electoral votes.

Here is my brain dump analysis of how Trump managed to defy expectations and get himself elected again.
    • The slow, impossible start for Biden and ultimate late bow-out
    • The lack of presence of Kamala out there as VP until her shotgun candidacy for president
    • Campaign strategists' working the whole country into well-defined corners like a boxing ring: rural vs city; Coastal vs Middle America; Male vs female; Elite vs working class; wealthy vs struggling
    • Donald Trump is a moral failure but a genius at showmanship
    • Donald Trump appealed to fears about the future of the country while Kamala's message of "not going back" primarily resonated with women (but not all women).
    • Uncertainty is a hugely motivating factor in this election; people voted for "more of the same" even if "the same" is uncertain as ever.
    • I would guess that a fairly substantial number of males specifically do not want a female president. We've still got that. Even though Kamala may have not been the strongest or most charismatic female candidate, I know that many men voted against "a woman" which was more compelling than voting "against Trump" as some of us did.

Just MHO. Those are not in order. I think the country this time around was like the kid who says they're grown up and want autonomy and freedom but secretly are looking for protection from change and financial insecurity. I think that word "protection" has come up in recent speeches.

Also, "freedom" as defined very differently by the two different parties. The GOP version won.

okay----i already told you kids ta quit analyzing the election. I gave you all THE definitive reason. Yup. So quit it. Case Closed. Game over. That settles it. Y'know---another issue on the zurra ballot was #3 or whatever. It would've amended the Zurra constitution to restore legal 'bortionizms. A resumption of zillions and trillions of cuuuutle little babies being mercilessly slaughtered, like pigs up in iwah, evry day, 'cordin' to the Church People. Yup. The amendment supposedly also would've aggravated the severe grandkid shortage the church people are having to endure. So anyway, I voted "heck yes" on # three. Yup. The proposal passed, and that's good. This way---fanaticrats can now get as many abortions as they want, which hopefully will lead to an overall reduction in fanaticrats. And yeah---the church people still retain the right to NOT have an abortionism, even if the ultrasound shows the fetus is a three-headed brachycephalic with no limbs. The mommy can bring the cuuuute little baby to term, and show it off in church on Sundy mornin'. America, the land o' the free!! Hope that helps you some.

    I believe it!

I didn’t watch news video, just checked text sources every couple of hours. I couldn’t stomach their ongoing blather.

I recall the term Trumpbump from another election. I see Tesla stock is up. It would seem like Elon would be looking at some conflict of interest issues.
