With all the legitimate criticism of Trump available in the real world, why is so much effort flowing into this weird fixation with Nazi porn?

It was ugly. One of the prosecuting attorneys who resigned said it would take a fool or a coward to dismiss charges. It sounds like they may have found someone.

It’s not a mainstream publication, but Wired magazine is doing a bang up job of covering the fed mess. I’m not sure how much of their website is accessible without a subscription, but it’s only $12/year. Constantly updated. It’s the publication that broke the news with six identities of the kids who had access to Treasury’s systems.
I've mostly thought of the Nazi analogies to be extreme beyond reason. Mostly thinking of the Holocaust and indications of genocide and the brown shirts. I have to say as the 2025 plans are unfolding, a Nazi-like fascist regime with some sort of global domination aren't out of my realm of possibilities. Vance's speech in Germany concerned me, as well as the German Chancellor.
My version is more like Orwell's 1984 and the Ministry of Truth.

I am more on board with the Orwellian theory since that is what I’ve been seeing in our political climate in the past few years. Subverting language to the point of compelled speech. Intimidating and firing people for wrongthink. Creating an official Federal government bureau of misinformation. Subverting scientific inquiry when it doesn't meet political criteria and favored narratives.
It does not matter which “side” the regime is on. It’s all the actions of an authoritative, overreaching government. The groundwork was already there and the Trump team is moving it along at breakneck speed.
