    Lunar Eclipse/Blood Moon tonight!

Easy google for more information. It's a bit after I get home from work tonight, but I'm planning on watching!

Looks like 3am for me in the East is when the maximum effect will be apparent. I hope it won't be cloudy. When DH has the heat on and the bedroom is too hot for me I escape to my office/2nd bedroom. The bed is placed under a very tall window so that when the shade is up it's like sleeping in a planetarium. I love it!! So maybe I'll make a point to sleep there tonight and set my alarm for 2am-ish.

    Thanks for the reminder, happystuff!

That sounds lovely, Catherine. We have heavy cloud cover here and I'm not sure it will clear out by then. Our usual luck for celestial scenes.
My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far today, I have finished two bags of M&Ms and a chocolate cake. I feel better already!

Got to see it - beautiful! Since it occurred today, the 14th, I'm claiming it as a personal birthday gift!

Plus, it is my LAST day of physical work (on vacation the rest of the month).

    And, finally, HAPPY PI DAY!!!!

    Wishing everyone a wonderful day!

I coincidentally woke up at 1 AM, which was the right time here, but it was cloudy. And Happy Birthday!

My bladder woke me up at just the right time to see it this morning. At about 2:40am Eastern time I stepped out on the deck and saw the blood moon at the point where there was just a small sliver of light visible at the top, which made for a very satisfying contrast.

Thanks again, everyone. I'm glad others got to see it. And the moon last night was still big, bright and beautiful.
