I believe, but what does DeSantis bring to any sort of policy table? Pro-life, some sorts of cancel culture on the LGBT community, probably tows the GOP platform on some form of smaller government? Climate change, the war in Ukraine, infrastructure, taxes? I suppose it will all come out in the days to come, but is he that much different than Trump on policy, obnoxious, criminal, volitile personality aside?
Desantis governs one of the largest states in our nation. Successfully. He made some choices during Covid that served the state well.
I don’t think stage 2 of the Disney fight is sensible, though.
Of course he isn’t going to match your policy preferences about climate change and etc. It isn’t about policy for me, it is about him being an experienced public servant, experienced in serving the public and not putting himself first.

Out of curiosity I googled Rachel and the Dunham report. Without any long examination, she does have a several minute talk calling it a 6 million dollar waste of tax payer money without any new evidence. It's so much ancient history now it's not of much interest to me, but it really shouldn't matter too much to Trump supporters either way. Any crimes he has or hasn't committed are pretty much water off a duck's back. A politically motivated witch hunt, as he would say. A commentary that probably can go both ways.
Just out of curiosity, did she mention that the FBI knew the Steele Dossier, which was the basis of the entire Russian Collusion narrative, was a hoax perpetrated by partisans trying to hurt a Presidential candidate? Did she mention that the CIA briefed the Obama White House on its true purpose in 2016, well before Obama himself used it to smear that candidate prior to the November election? Did she mention that even though the FBI knew there was nothing to it, they still used it as a basis to obtain FISA warrants against people known to be within the candidates circle of influence? Or that officials within the FBI, including James Comey knew the info was garbage but still continuously leaked misleading information referencing their investigation of the matter, even though they weren't actually investigating the matter? Did she mention that Adam Schiff almost certainly knew there was nothing to allegations even though he spent a year or two holding high visibility congressional investigations designed to influence sentiment against a duly elected President while telling us daily that he had seen the evidence and we should just trust him, it's real? Did she mention that she was one of the leading media voices that spent at least 2 years parroting the administrative state's talking points like a loyal propagandist should? And then did she apologize for her role in advancing that politically motivated mis-information?
I'm betting she didn't. But, since that's all just old news we should probably forget all about it and move on to what I now hear is her latest hot take, Republicans are Nazis! (which must be true cause I read it here and have been repeatedly encouraged to watch her presentation so that I can know the truth too). She can probably string that out till the next election.
